Great white sharks to inform

 Hey readers!

for the past week in miss McLeod's writing group we had to pick an endangered animal and write about it then put it on our blog after. once we did we get to do free writing.

Great White Shark

Introduction

Have you ever seen or heard of a great white shark? If you're looking for some information you might wanna read this

Diet

A shark's diet is meat so they are carnivorous, sharks will eat small fish and sometimes they will also eat seals such as sea lions when they get a bit close to the surface they will also sometimes try leaping out and eating seagulls for a snack because they are desperate for food.

Habitat

Sharks live mainly anywhere in the ocean, but the arctic because it's too cold for them in arctic areas but they also are losing homes due to pollution, climate change, global warming, and natural disasters.

Why endangered

Great white sharks are quite an endangered species of shark because people hunt them for their top fins then sometimes they will throw the rest of the shark back into the ocean still alive. Sometimes people even over hunt and kill more. they take their teeth and make them into jewelry like necklaces and bracelets

Conclusion

People have banned shark hunting which means it is illegal. Each year thousands of sharks are hunted for their fins, teeth, and meat there are also only 3,500 great white sharks left on the planet. The sharks also sometimes get thrown back into the ocean to bleed out and die, all the dead sharks could become really bad for the ecosystem. it could destroy lots of fish homes and coral reefs, the weight of their body's could crush thin coral and pollute the reefs and could affect the entire ocean and food chain.

On Wednesday November the 4th a few kids and I were chosen to learn about stuff to keep us and other people safe My favourite station was station 7 where we got to crawl through the inflated tunnel it was so dark i couldn’t see a thing Meiana Rarika Kaiza Toi Aj Raquel and Cole came on the trip too it was only for year five’s. At station 7 when we had to go through the tunnel it was so dark we could not see a thing but after when we got out of the tunnel we got a sticker and they had told us that's what I could look like when you are in a fire because if your not wearing protective gear cause smoke could get in your eyes.

And at the end we got goodie bags. There were book cards, a bottle and a few other things I really enjoyed going on the trip.

Hope you enjoyed the post!

Hello Readers!

For the past few weeks we have have been doing calendar art I chose to do Kandinsky circles it was kind of confusing at first but then it seemed quite easy. We had to use water colours for our Kandinsky circles.
we also made silhouette's to stick on our calendar art when we made our silhouettes to make into our real ones we had to trace our old one to make our real copy I just made the first thing that came to my mind,
everyone did something different and here is how mine turned out.

Why kids should have a phone |To persuase

For the past few weeks we choose a topic to write about I choose why kids should have a phone I choose it because I think every kid should have a phone they are very important especially for emergency

Why kids should have a phone.

In my opinion I think children should have phones.

Firstly, for emergencies you can never know what's gonna happen they could get lost, a natural disaster, or locations. There are many reasons for a child to have a phone. Children need phones for contact if they need help or if they are in trouble. If they get lost they can use their GPS to find where they are or so they can give their parents their location.

They can also use it as a little mode of transport entertainment they can use phones for many uses phones do have a big place in a kids life they can help for many things if someone was in trouble they could call 9.1.1 for the police, ambulance, or the firemen kids can use them to take pictures and show where they are they can use phones to keep up with their daily basis. and set reminders but phones are rather really expensive and most people don’t want their kids having phones until 16+ or over. Lots of kids that have  phones are really lucky to have good money to afford one of them.

They can use them to set reminders but phones are not allowed in schools cause they can distract learning. But kids can turn them into the office for the day then pick them up after school

There that's my point about why kids should have phones and some negativity about having one. If anyone reads this please have a think about it parents.

Please leave your opinion your in comments thank you.

Why do bees sting?

Today for inquiry we learned why do bees sting bees will sting you if you step on them scare them or per-pose  a threat to their hive a new word i learnt today was pheromones. when a bee stings something or someone they release pheromones that stir up near by bees. Often, those other bees join the attack one stinging bee can turn into hundreds  or even thousands of stinging bees in just a short time. That's one party you don't want an invitation to.
